so oompa got df'd this week...
by oompa inno call to invite me to a committee meeting...no notification of deciding i should be df'd....no telling my jw wife of the announcement...not a chance to appeal what i did not even know what was going on...my mini-serve son is devasted....he even researched it....told me to go to page 153-154 of the od book...never heard of it but it is a green hardback given to all who are to be baptized.
wow...the elders broke every rule in this book as to my case.... i have no respect for these men that can take away your jw family without even telling you they are going to.
my jw son has now begged me to meet with my committee...even though there is prob zero chance they can reverse the decision...that chance is from when they let you know...and you have to appeal by letter within 7 days (i cant make this stuff up!!

Does anyone know what happens to full-time JW's(DO's, CO's, Missionaries, Special pioneers, etc) when they reach old age?
by african GB Member ini am just wondering since these people never work a secular job.
is there some sort of an arrangement from the society to care for them?
presuming they don't even have children of their own to look after them when they are old..

I believe that 2012 will come and go just like any other year.
e.g. 1874
1914
1975

by life is to short inis this a trend that is going on.
i live on the west coast and the po's or cobe's wife has at least one study if not more with a old lady who is totally mentally gone.
she has no clue what is going on.

The old folks probably just need something to pass time on.
They could'nt seriously be interested in joining a new religion at their age.

-Being shunned by self-righteous fellow JW's, even after getting reinstated as one of them (who needs their friendship anyway, if one can't even enjoy a beer with these 'friends' without feeling guilty?).

I like hearing from those who served at higher levels in the Org. such as former Elders, full-time pioneers, etc. It reinforces my doubts about this Org,

I feel so guilty for refusing to help the sister of an elder who DF'd me years ago.
by african GB Member ini recently moved to another province/state, after i got a job there.
the sister of one of the elders who were on my jc (about 8 years ago) also got the job around the same area about two weeks ago.
i could'nt believe my ears when i got the call from that elder asking me to accomodate her sister in my spare bedroom, until she finds her own place.

''So he is reinstated from 2008? He just made up the recent DF story? That makes more sense if an elder was calling him to house his sister. If he was still DF the elder would never have the guts to request a room.
On a side note, I think it is DELERIOUS and CRAZY to ask someone to house their sister until she finds a house. Does anyone else think that? I have never heard of such an arrangement. Usually when people get a new job, they get an apartment before they start. Family is one thing, but random friends of friends. No way.''
It is not a strange thing here in Africa to have that type of arrangement.
Another thing, she got this job on a short notice and never had the time to arrange accomodation.

OnTheWayOut- Thank you.
It's not going to be easy to regain my credibility on this forum, anyway, I brought it all upon myself.
I just hope we could all move on, forgive and forget.

By the way this is the elder whom I suspected of having 'voted' against my first reinstatement request.
